Fall in New England

Fall has to be the best time of year to live in New England. This past Saturday was a perfect fall day and we celebrated the great weather with some of our favorite activities. We started the day by going apple picking with Grandma and Grandpa.

Then, the three of us and Joey went for an afternoon hike to check out the foliage. Only some of the leaves have turned color, but it was nice to spend the time in the crisp fall air.

4 Months Old

4 months ago today Connor made his grand entrance to this world. Alot has changed in this short amount of time. He has more than doubled his birth weight... he now weighs 13 lbs 6 ozs. At his checkup with the pediatrician yesterday, she said he is growing right on track and he looks great!

In honor of his 4 month birthday, I thought we would revisit an old post... a day in the life of Connor. His days are a bit more exciting than when we wrote this type of post during his first week of life. For a trip down memory lane, check out http://dorazfamily.blogspot.com/2008/05/day-in-life-of-connor.html
Now his typical day consists of....

Eating
Playing
Taking Joey for Walks

Reading stories

Attempting to tell us his own stories

And of course... Sleeping

First Solid Food

Lately, Connor has become very interested in watching us eat. His pediatrician said this would be a sign that he was ready to try eating his own food so we decided to let him give it a try. He seemed confused at first, but he has been getting better each time and he has even learned to open his mouth when he sees the spoon coming his way. Right now he only gets to enjoy runny rice cereal, but soon he will get to try some fruit and veggies.

Here it comes

The first bite... YUM

A Nice Sunday Afternoon

Today turned out to be a beautiful day after the threat of tropical storm Hannah yesterday. We decided to celebrate the nice weather with a trip to our favorite ice cream shop, Somerset Creamery. Connor didn't get to have any ice cream, but he was able to enjoy with his new favorite... his hands.

Lastly, we wanted to give everyone a video update of Connor's progress. For the last couple of weeks, he has been rolling from his tummy to his back. We finally got a video of it today, so enjoy!!! By the way, Joey has been feeling a little left out so he decided to make a cameo appearance in this clip.
