Carving Pumpkins

Halloween is James' favorite holiday. One of our favorite Halloween activities is carving pumpkins. This year, Connor got to join in on the fun by carving his own pumpkin. At first, he was unsure of the texture of the pumpkin guts, but he got into it pretty quick. James had to help him with the actual carving but it was definitely a joint effort.

Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular

This past Saturday we went to the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular at Roger Williams Park Zoo. It was a cold night, around 40 degrees, but we bundled up and decided to go. We figured the cold would keep alot of people home, but we still had to wait a while before we were able to see the pumpkins. It was worth the wait and the cold to see the thousands of carved pumpkins lit up.

Fun Fall Weekend

This weekend was a perfect fall weekend. The weather was crisp and the leaves are just about at peak foliage. On Saturday, we took advantage of the beauty and went on a small hike to Purgatory Chasm. Connor and Joey both had a great time taking in the sights.

Yesterday, we went to an apple festival in Little Compton with Nana and Pepe. We picked apples, ate some food and listened to some live bluegrass music. The music was Connor's favorite part... he just loves to listen along. I don't have pictures of this on my camera, but I will post some when I get them from Nana.

Connor is going to have a little ....

Last Monday we found out the sex of our baby and it's a BOY!!!! We are going to name him Jack Michael Doraz. Everything looked great during the ultrasound. He is growing according to schedule and looked very comfortable in his little home. James and I are excited to have two little boys so close in age. We think they will have lots of fun growing up together. It is also nice because we have lots of stuff in blue so it is much more affordable! When I have some extra time I will scan in the ultrasound pictures.

When we found out last week, we had a cupcake party to celebrate with our parents and reveal the big news. We sprinkled blue sugar inside of the cupcakes as a way of telling the grandparents the sex of the new baby. Everyone was very happy to find out about our healthy little boy. Connor was especially happy because he got to celebrate it by eating cupcakes (one of his favorties)!

It's been a while!

Let me start this post by apologizing for the lack of posts lately. Between all of our crazy changes and some computer problems we have been unable to post. But we are officially back! Let me fill you in on all the things we have been up to...

Over the last few weeks, we moved out of our Slater St. house and into my parents house. We had alot of help with the move and are really grateful to everyone who helped us out... our parents, Beth, Derek, Lauren, Ryan and Uncle Carlos! THANKS AGAIN!!! We also closed on the sale of the house this week. Our new house is being built very quickly. The framing of the entire house is almost done! They have promised to have the house done by the end of November so hopefully the building process will keep moving along. We have been living with my parents for the last two weeks and so far it is going great. Connor has been loving all the extra attention he is getting from his grandparents and James and I have been loving all the extra help.

To celebrate the sale of our house, James, Connor and I went apple and pumpkin picking this week. It was a perfect fall day and we really enjoyed the time outdoors together relaxing. Connor picked one apple and then spent the rest of the time eating it. He did not want to let the first apple go!

Stay tuned... next time I post we will be revealing the sex of our new baby!!!!
