SNOW

Today we woke up to about an inch of snow on the ground. It was Connor's first opportunity to really interact with snow. James took him outside to show him the wonders of winter.

Thanksgiving Weekend

Thanksgiving weekend was a nice long weekend spent with family and friends. We are so thankful for all of the wonderful people in our lives, especially Connor and Baby Jack.

A boy and his dog

Connor has always loved Joey. It has really been neat to see how their relationship has developed. At first, Joey always avoided Connor. More recently however, they have been learning to work together to get what they want. Connor shares any unwanted food with Joey, who is always ready to eat it. They also love to be outside... so they both ask me to go out for walks now. Joey is really patient with Connor and he even lets him walk him around the yard. It is soooo cute!

Half Birthday

This past week, Connor celebrated his half birthday. He is now officially one and a half! We had mini cupcakes in honor of his big day. In other news, our house now has walls up. That means we are one big step closer to completion. Our contractor gave us a tentative completion date of December 15. We should be getting a guaranteed completion date soon. Looks like we will be moving right around the holidays, which should make everything crazy!!!! I also have some really cute pictures to share with you of Connor and Pepe. Nana has been in Florida for about a month, so we have been getting weekly visits from Pepe. It has been great to see him and Connor playing together. This week they had a great time with some pots and pans.

Tagging the tree

This past weekend we tagged our Christmas tree. Connor enjoyed getting to roam through all the different fields looking for the perfect tree. As usual, we chose our tree pretty fast, but Grandma and Grandpa had to search through each and every field. It was a fun day and we can't wait to go back and pick it up.

Mystic Aquarium

Yesterday was another absolutly beautiful fall day. It gave us the opportunity to do another outdoor adventure, this time we went to the Mystic aquarium with our friends the Farias'. The aquarium is really great and half of the exibits are outside. Connor really enjoyed himself... he loves any kind of animal or fish. He and Luke were both very well behaved and lasted the whole day.

Halloween Weekend

This past weekend was full of Halloween fun. Connor was a really cute monkey. He was really cooperative about wearing his costume. Halloween night we went to a party at Beth & Derek's house. Our college friends were there and we all had a great time. Connor and Luke got to go trick or treating for the very first time. It was cute to see them all dressed up visiting houses. The best part is that James and I got to eat all the candy because Connor is too young. :)

We also visited our new house this weekend to check on the status of the building process. The house has siding, a roof, electrical and plumbing. The next step is to put up the walls. Yesterday was a nice, crisp fall day and we decided to take advantage of the weather by going to the Capron Zoo. Connor had a GREAT time and so did we. There was barely anyone at the zoo so it was really relaxing. We took our time and Connor walked around the whole zoo all by himself. It was really cute to see him laughing at the animals and making animal sounds.
