Tractor

This week, while we were taking a walk through our neighborhood, Connor got the chance to drive a tractor. He was so excited!!!!

In preparation for St. Patrick's Day, I made some green cupcakes last night. Both boys love cupcakes... and James and I love eating them too!!!

New Bikes

This week was exciting for the boys because they both got new bikes. Jack got his bike at Christmas, but we hadn't had the opportunity to assemble it until this week. He loves being pushed around on it... I think it makes him feel like one of the big boys.

As for Connor, his new bike was a reward. He has always made us be in the room with him to go to sleep at night. We have tried multiple times before to get him to let us leave the room, but we were never successful. After the potty training success we had with using roller skates as a bribe, we decided to try that tactic one more time. So for a whole week, Connor went to sleep all by himself!!! Finally after almost 3 years!!!!! We are so happy he is sleeping by himself and he is happy to have his first two wheel bike.

Together

Now that Jack is getting bigger, my two boys are learning to play together. Connor loves to show Jack how to play with his toys (he is a natural born leader) and Jack loves to do whatever Connor is doing. He follows Connor around the house trying to copy his every move. So Cute!

The birthday parties

Jack had two 1st birthday parties. On his actual birthday, we had our parents over our house to celebrate as a family. Then on Saturday we had all of our extended family and friends over my parents house to celebrate again!!! Jack got lots of love, attention and gifts from everyone. We are so grateful to have such a wonderful support system - Thank you to everyone who joined us!!!!

Happy Birthday Jack!

Jack is ONE today!

I honestly cannot believe that my baby boy is one year old today. He has been such a great addition to our family and it feels like he has always been a part of it. Jack was a great baby... patient, he barely cried, nursed well and slept pretty well too! He was much easier than Connor was as a baby. Lately, Jack is starting to show us some new sides of his personality. He is a goof ball who always tries to get us to laugh, but he is also starting to become fiesty and determined. I guess that comes with the territory of becoming a toddler. Connor and Jack are great brothers. They really love each others company and it is so neat to watch them beginning to develop their friendship and love for each other. I am excited to see how their relationship grows as the years go on and I hope that they will always be close.

Sports Class

This winter Connor has been taking an All Sports class at the local indoor sports field, Teamworks. He really loves taking this class and this past week was his favorite week yet, baseball. I have really enjoyed watching him out on the field learning all the different sports. It is the first activity that Connor has done all by himself and I cannot believe how big he looks when he is out there with the other kids.
