Big Brother

Since we haven't posted in a little while, I thought I would give everyone a little update. Dawn and the baby are still doing well. Both of them continue to get a little bigger each day. The nursery is complete and ready for Connor's arrival. I will post some pictures of it soon. Basically, we are just waiting..............

While we are waiting, Joey has been getting excited about his new role in the house: the role of big brother. Actually, Joey has been looking kind of concerned lately. We think he knows something is up but he hasn't quite figured out what. I guess he will just have to wait and see what all the changes in his house have been about. In the meantime, here is a picture of him waiting for Connor to arrive.

Baby Shower

Last Sunday, we were showered with lots of gifts from our family and friends. The women had a civilized tea party and the men went to a Portuguese bar for lunch. We all had a great time celebrating our own way. We received so many gifts from everyone and we are really grateful. It took forever to sort through all of the gifts, but we finally managed to get it all put away. On another exciting note, our furniture arrived today so the nursery is almost complete. His foot

Here's the ultrasound picture I've been promising. It is a picture of Connor's foot. I know it might be small, but he has been putting it to good use kicking Dawn. Maybe when he grows up he will make his Portuguese heritage proud and become a soccer player.

What many of you are waiting for....

Dawn promised me that she would allow me to take one picture of her looking "pregnant" to post on the blog. I know that many of you have been waiting for this, so I hope you enjoy it. This picture was from Easter Sunday and it is taken at about 32 weeks along.

We also had our 32 week ultrasound last week. Everything looks great with baby Connor. Unfortunatly, Connor is just as camera shy as his mother and would not give the ultrasound tech a good shot of his face. We did get a good picture of his foot and I promise to post it soon...

Welcome

Welcome to the new Doraz Family Blog. As we prepare for our arrival of the newest addition to the family, I wanted to get started creating a blog so that we can share pictures and videos with our family and friends. We hope that everyone will check in occasionally (and that we are as dedicated at updating the blog as some of our friends who have used this to share their pictures).

In preparation for the big day, many home projects have begun. First was the great reorganization project. Now the spare bedroom has gone through a transformation from our friend's guest room to the new nursery (I know this might be sad for some of you). Below are a few pictures of the start of the transformation. Stay tuned for the big reveal of the new baby's room coming soon.
