Sprinkle for Baby Jack

Last weekend, our friends hosted a sprinkle for me and baby Jack. If you have never heard of a sprinkle before, it is a downsized version of a baby shower. It was great to spend the day with my PC girls and the grandmothers. I was really happy that we took the time to celebrate Jack because sometimes I feel like we are so busy with Connor to really focus on Jack's arrival. We received alot of wonderful gifts and are really grateful for such great friends and family.

Moving In

Well, we are officially unpacked. It was a busy week of emptying box after box, but our new house finally feels like a home. We have a couple more pictures to hang but other than that we are done. It feels great to be settled in especially with Jack's pending arrival. Here are a few pictures from our very first day in the house. I will post some "completion" pictures soon!!!!

Vacation Fun

James is on vacation all week with us. It is so great to have him home! Connor is loving getting to spend lots of time with Daddy. We have been doing some extra special activities together this week. This past weekend, Connor got to build his very first snowman with Daddy. We also took a day to go to the Providence Children's Museum which was really fun. We wish James could be home with us everyday!!!!

Preparing for Christmas - Part 1

The past couple of weeks have had us busy preparing for Christmas. I have alot of pictures to share from all of the festivities so I have divided them up into two different posts. Enjoy!

Connor met Santa when we went to pick up our Christmas tree. He liked the big man much better this year.... he was even willing to give him a high five. Here is Connor helping us decorate the tree. He put up about 5 ornaments and then he was bored with the whole process.James and I managed to finish the rest of the decorating. Here is the finished product.Every night Connor has been checking his countdown calendar to find a little Christmas treat. He asks me all day long to open his box, but we always wait until Daddy is home to open it with us.Our second nightly ritual is to light the advent wreath. Connor really enjoys this because he gets to blow out the candles when we are done with the prayers. He has gotten really good at blowing them out and I am sure he will be a pro now for his next birthday.
