Pumpkin Patch 2011

A couple of weekends ago, we visited Keith's Farm in Acushnet to pick some pumpkins and some apples. The boys loved the hayride out to the pumpkin patch. It was a huge patch and both Connor and Jack picked a pumpkin to take home.

Connor's First Day of Preschool

Connor had his first day of preschool last week. It was a big day in our house!!! Even though he really wanted to go to school, Connor was scared to leave us and go to school by himself. There were a bunch of tears at drop off, but he stayed the whole morning and ended up enjoying himself. I cannot believe that he already in school... how time flies! I am so proud of him and love hearing the stories when he comes home that he shares about his day.

Apple Picking

A couple of weeks ago, we went apple picking on a beautiful Saturday morning with Nana and Pepe. The boys had lots of fun picking the apples, trekking through the orchard and eating the fruits of their labor. We are excited that fall is here because it is one the best times of year in New England!

My 30th Birthday

About 3 weeks ago, I celebrated my 30th birthday... yikes! We were suppossed to go camping for the weekend, but Hurricane Irene had other plans for our area. So we decided to take a day trip to Boston the day before my big day to have some fun. We went to the Boston Aquarium, Quincy market for lunch and Mike's pastry in the north end for dessert. I had a great time and it kept my mind off of the fact that I am no longer in my 20s. Although, 30 hasn't been too bad yet... maybe it will be better than I thought!

Ramps

Here is a video that I took last week of Connor. He just learned how to get on his bike all by himself and he has been perfecting his jumps on the ramp. I am amazed at his bike riding ability! So proud of him!!!!

Jack is One and a HALF!

We celebrated Jack's eighteen month birthday this past weekend at his Godparent's house. Jack loved blowing his candle out and all the boys (and parents too) enjoyed some delicious cupcakes! It seems like Jack is really becoming a toddler lately. He has grown taller and thinner and seems to be losing his "baby face". He is quite the charmer and knows how to use his blue eyes to get what he wants. When he doesn't get what he wants, he is really starting to protest and even throws some mini tantrums.... too funny! His vocabulary is exploding. He tries to participate in conversation whenever he can. He loves to cuddle in the mornings which is one of my favorite things about him. I could sit and cuddle all day long! He still adores Connor and wants to try and do everything his big brother does. They are starting to play well together, which is so great to watch. Love my little guy!!!!

Mini Golf

A couple of weekends ago, Auntie Sue and Uncle Aaron came home for a visit. We decided that we would all go mini golfing. It was both Connor and Jack's first time. Connor really enjoyed playing, but Jack just enjoyed climbing all over the course. A fun outing!
