PawSox Game 2012

We took the boys to see the Pawtucket Red Sox this summer. Both Connor and Jack were really excited to go to the game. We sat in the field behind the outfield which was a really great way to enjoy the game with two little guys. Both of them chose a baseball as their souvenir and we spent time just tossing the ball on the grass while we waited for the game to begin. This year the boys lasted 5 innings, which is a big improvement over last year. Maybe next year we can stay for the whole game!

I am still playing catch up with the blog, so this night happened a couple of months ago. Since then, Connor has really begun to show an interest in baseball. He has been working hard on his throwing and batting skills. When he connects with the bat, he gets some pretty big hits. As usual, his athleticism surprises me! Always a competitor, he is working hard to improve his skills to keep up with the bigger kids in the neighborhood.

Camping with Mama and Pa

At the end of June we camped at Wompatuck State Park with my parents. The weather was much better this time around. We love Wompatuck because it is so wooded and it feels like we are very far from home even though we are only an hour away. We spent the weekend biking, fishing and hanging out at our campsite eating and drinking. It was a great weekend away from the hustle and bustle of home!

Camping at Normandy Farms 2012

To start our camping season off, we spent the weekend at Normandy Farms in early June. It is one of our favorite campgrounds with awesome pools and playgrounds. Unfortuantly it rained almost the entire weekend :( We made the best of it - spent Saturday morning at the local Target buying some new toys and took visit to Bass Pro Shops. The boys had fun playing in the camper with their new toys and we even got to swim in the indoor pool. Hopefully next time we stay there the weather will be nicer.

During a rain deprive, we tried out a new campfire cooking recipe that I found on Pinterest. We filled sugar cones with peanut butter, banana chunks, mini marshmallows and chocolate chips. Then we wrapped the cones in foil and toasted them on the fire. YUMMY!!!

Mother's Day 2012

Mother's Day 2012 was the day after Connor's birthday. We decided to take a day trip to the zoo with the kids and both of our Moms. The boys were a little tired from the festivities the night before, however we all had a nice time. Plus Moms are free on Mother's day!

Connor turns 4

On  May 12, Connor turned 4. He was so excited about turning four and having a whole day to celebrate. He had been planning his party for months and loved to talk about it all of the time. In the past year, he really has grown in so many ways. He is so loving and loyal to his family and friends. Always wanting to be around his people, he is also quite the conversationalist. He loves to be active, especially outside. His athletic abilities scare me! I cannot believe our four year old is riding a two wheel bike over ramps, on dirt tracks and on mountain trails. He is known around our neighborhood at Mr. Future X Games! He loves numbers (so proud!) and he can count to 100 and has started to add. He is also getting much better with his writing. Connor is such a great big brother and Jack really adores him. I am so proud of little guy he is turning out to be and can't wait to see what the next year brings.

On his birthday, I asked him a series of questions that we plan to ask at each birthday. I thought it would be fun to share his answers.

Disney - April 2012 - Part 2

The highlight of the trip was how much the boys loved the pool at Orange Lake (thank you Nana and Pepe for giving us the timeshare) They had an awesome kiddie pool that the boys could not get enough of. James and I were even able to relax by the pool for a while.

Jack loved the water
