The third leg of our vacation was to visit our nation's capitol, Washington DC. We spent four nights staying in the city, taking the metro all around to visit all of the major sights. We were able to see all of the major monuments, the Smithsonian Museums and the start of the Cherry Blossom Festival. We also got the chance to see the President. As we were walking around the Lincoln Memorial, the presidential motorcade passed by us on their way back to the White House. It was really exciting to see the President, even if it was through the heavily tinted windows of his car. Connor was a great little tourist and we were so proud of his behavior. It has been great to share our love of travel with him. Stay tuned to the blog for a special update to the blog later this week.
